A web-based recruitment website with online registration has been developed by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). All Deaneries in England and Wales are involved in the process. The website will open for registration on 11th January 2008 .
After registering with the site, trainees will be able to apply to a maximum of two deaneries and rank all others in which they would accept a position. The same application form, scoring system and short-listing cut off will be used by all Deaneries. If trainees are unsuccessful in securing a position in their preferred Deanery, the coordinated process will aim to align unappointed candidates with remaining available posts.
The closing date for applications will be 18th January 2008 (noon) for applications to the London-KSS Deanery and 25th January 2008 (noon) for applications to all other Deaneries.
Interviews will take place from 18th February 2008 to 20th March 2008.
Offers will be made from Monday 31st March 2008
Appointments will be completed by 16th May 2008
Please note that East Midlands - North (Nottingham) and East Midlands - South (Leicester) should be regarded as separate - i.e. applying to both will count as two applications.
